Local Zoo

We caught Ms. Killdeers babies hatching, click on and you can see 2 of them.  Two days later Sam when out and they had already scurried away!

New Mom to be Ms. Turtle was laying eggs when Sam got home from work this week!  60-90 days.  I could see about 5 of them but I didn't want to disturb them anymore than I had!  I did cover them back up to stay toasty warm.

And resident Buzz was caught taking a bath!

Distracted ?

So when are getting ready to leave your house by 1015 - which means you are making the bed, doing 5 minute training sessions with your puppy, laundry, having a cup of tea, taking a shower, putting your make up on, puppy stuff again and other dogs, reading email and Facebook. Don't I repeat don't remember that someone at work told you hummingbirds were back and decide to make food for them.

Because if you do and you leave the house, with your spouse outside with his noisy chipper - you 1, will get a call on you cell from an 800 number which you don't answer - who Answers an 800 call while out shopping? 2 you will then get a text from your spouse asking "what you were cooking?" - 3 you ruin a good 3 qt sauce pan. 4 your house is still being aired out!

What good comes out of this? You find out your alarm system works - they tried to call your ass and they called the local fire dept. who came out to the house and told Sam the fire alarm is going off. So cheers to the Cove volunteer fire dept for answering the 800 call!!!

And my non-perfect week ended up with a DQ hot fudge sundae!
