Ribbit Ribbit

My first Frog close up! Usually they jump away, but his one let me get about 4ft from him (or her).

I've researched the web, and I can't find one that looks quite like this one. So what's your guess? His body was about the size of a man's palm I guess, he was pretty big. He didn't say anything so I'm not sure of his sound.
He looks like he's been to the tattoo artist. He's a tatted frog!
Got to get my Reptiles and Amphibians of Texas Field guide ordered!

Oink Oink

Sam took me tracking this week to show me signs of hogs coming through the field, so we set up the "Timber Eye", and this is WHO it captured! They rooted around about 15 minutes!
Which means now when we do plant the garden we have to protect it from hogs (so these little pigs can't go to market)! It's looking more like a fall garden with our schedule.
Other happenings this week...we got 7 dump truck loads of dirt (5 sand, 2 top soil) delivered on Saturday, that's a lot of dirt! I planted 11 Azalea's, 2 Hibiscus and several Mexican heathers (and I'm not done yet!)
The Ike repair is done! Yeah contractors out of the house!
The pond is full of fish, and the frogs returned, I don't know where they went all winter but they are back in full voice! Sam had to take his 6 shooter out yesterday, due to an "intruder" in the pond - that's a snake (which is not allowed to be said)
