Keegan Vacation 2009

2 1/2 fun filled days with Keegan!

Friday Morning we woke up to a game of golf, baseball, picking up Granny and hitting the grocery store. We also fed the turtles and Keegan met Wallet! Later that evening, Uncle Gary showed up with a Ford F150 Harley Addition (small size). It's something that will be staying here for all to ride! His day ended with he and Sam playing ring toss in the living room!

Saturday morning was tractor driving, and pool time! Also more F150 driving around the yard, baseball and golf! The evening was ended with a sit down dinner with Owen, Amanda, Gary, Jo and Granny.

A good but short vacation, can't wait for the next visit!!!

Ok, one more

I've become such a bird geek! I came home today with a new bird in the pond, it's a Tricolored Heron.

The the little bird is a Killdeer which I see down the road everyday, but never walking in the pond (or pond mud)

Little Bunny Foo Foo

New Additions to the Menagerie!
Little Bunny Foo Foo Hoppin thru the forest...oh sorry Flyball Road trip memories.....

A family of bunnies is in the burn pile, no worries with the burn ban we won't be burning down their house anytime soon! We saw at least 4 one day playing chase but I was only able to get these two. Sam saw baby Peter Rabbit yesterday when he was mowing, it was the size of his palm.

And this is Ms. Squirrel! With all the left over fence lumber (tk u Ike) we have been putting it to use, a fence around the pool pump and well, and now a squirrel chair! I think she approved of it, and after a big meal in the hot sun she stretched out on the porch! I've never seen a squirrel lay out like my dogs! Thanks to the Beans for bringing back squirrel corn from Nebraska!
Now to get ready for Keegan this weekend!

Ryley's Summer Vacation 2009

Ryley brought his parents on vacation this year! He hit the Houston Children's Museum, Galveston, Kemah and of course the pool! Week ended to soon!

We of course won't mention the after hours pool party to where we woke up to beer bottles around the pool, and a pair of jeans hanging on the fence!

Dust Bowl?

Is it going to be a dust bowl?

The poor water lillies are dry and brown, but if we ever do get a full pont back I think they come back pretty quick, maybe. The field is just as dry, we can't play ball or anything we're afraid the dogs will fall in the cracks!

As the water level has dropped, the water foul has increased, all this week has been this Ibis, and Little Blue Heron hanging out.

The drought hasn't made our visitor leave, as you can see Wallet is still hanging around, and if you want to see him all you have to do is go stand beside the pond and he swims up.
