Nothing Day?

Picture is last nite at the Strawberry Fest Cook off!  I help serve the judges our cook choice...cross your fingers, placements announced on Sunday.  We turn in the other stuff today, fajatas, gumbo, brisket and ribs.  I'm going out tonight and be team support!

But today, as in from 715am till I leave for the cook off...nothing, I've done nothing of any real importance.  I did bathe 3 dogs, trim the jasmine, start to brush the pool but I broke the brush, shopped on line, made a nail appt,  walked and didn't have a Mom day.   Sam is on the road home from NM, kids are gone for most of the day, so home alone with dogs.  Dogs like it, they all have out and lay around time!

I don't have Nothing days, and I feel guilty..is that weird??

The "Church Van"

The "Church Van"...not really a church van but that's what it reminds me of, you know the one that picks up all the neighborhood kids!  A 15 passenger van with all but one row of seats removed is the new flyball, rescue vehicle.  We went to a tournament this past weekend with NO TRAILER, imagine that x-roadies!

Mom's Day

Mom's Day = A Hallmark Day

Sam was the chef outside today with my other  brother Kirk, and they fixed the all fried menu requested meal  by Mom.  All that's left of 20 pounds of redfish, 2 giant Texas 1015 sweet onions, french fries, sweet potato fries and hushpuppies!

All I did was season, and coat everything to be sent out side to the fryers...but I did get up early for 2 Lemon pies...

And I don't know why all the pictures turned sideways....but I'm not fixing them!

April (was April)

Not sure what happened to April, but  we did get to see a soccer game and baseball game in the same day.  The Portland Padres have a pretty awesome Coach.  Christopher did a great job with the kids really makes a Momma proud, and Manager Roni kept the line up going!

Gary, Roni, Christopher and I had birthdays, woohoo I worked a 12 hour shift on mine!

Easter brought family together and of course Honey baked ham and deviled eggs.  Wyatt tried out the pool.  Future water polo player???

There were no April Showers to bring May flowers...No RAIN, garden looks like a garden of dirt with poor little plants, the pond is starting to dry up in the shallow end, and of course we added Texas Grass Crap to eat the evasive grass, but it looks like we have dried fish soon if we don't get rain.

Oh, and I think Chuy's has been replaced by El Tiempo on Washington Ave.  I will have to try it out again, but they did have good Margaritas (and food too).  Good find WD.
