Surprise Visit

Wow, October fun continues....

This week we had a surprise house guest, well not really she stayed in the drive way! The Famous (or is that infamous), Hunter Hampton cruised in with the Red Bruiser and the Silver Air Stream http://www.airstream.com! This was a picture she took, I didn't even think of taking a picture!
She has now been to the 48 contiguous states, and Canada! I remember when she took off, just her and 2 Border Collies and thought, how brave. I still think she is one of the bravest women I know, and I still envy her just a little.

More of NYC

Just a couple more pictures of NYC.

Julien and Jill made the trek across the big pond, actually this was Julien's idea in the first place, and a very good one I might add. He has seen Springsteen as many times as I've seen ZZ Top! This was only my 3rd Boss show.
And yes Russ if you happen to read this, I am wearing my Manchester United scarf! http://www.manutd.com

Busy October!

What an October, and it isn't over yet!

The first weekend Keegan & Granny came and spent the weekend with me while Sam was off playing Pitt boss at the NAFA Nationals! Keegan and Mom, sorry Granny Pat are great pals, playing Hot Wheels, and pretend truck stop.

The second weekend started with Sam and I heading for the airport, only not the same flights. Me to NYC to meet up with friends for the Bruce Springsteen Concert and Sam off to Korea!

My long weekend was great, walking 5th Ave, Times Square, touring the inner and outer loop of the city, it was awesome! Julien and his wife Jill and I stayed at the Michelangelo Hotel, it was an awesome location http://www.michelangelohotel.com/ . The first night we dined at Rothmans Steakhouse and it was great, http://www.rothmannssteakhouse.com/, the 2nd night we ate Italian at Abboccato, and it wasn't as good as it was rated, plus after we had made reservations they booked a private party with a movie company, and we were rushed out....gave it bad review!

Friday was catch a train at Penn Station, then a second one in NJ that took us right to the parking lot of GIANT STADIUM! WOW, I've seen lots of concerts, but being at one in this guy's home town was something else! Plus it was the last event at the stadium, good ole wrecking ball tearing down another historical place. Bruce is an amazing musician, he never plays the same set at any concert, he get's down in the crowd, not many bands that I can remember do a 3.5hr concert!
Didn't take my camera, so my pictures were taken with the Blackberry, so not so good. Jill will be sending me some to post.

Sam on the other hand, was on the other side of the world. He flew in to Ulsan for work, working along side a dock, and off shore.

I win for the most fun trip, I luv NYC!
