Pond Life

Last week we had another female duck come and visit the decoys. She's the cute one on the left.

But this morning, I saw something BIG roll in the pond and I yell for Sam, come see, what is it?? OMG it is an OTTER! A real OTTER, just swimming and rolling. So out in my flannel PJ's, cap, scarf and flip flops in 28f I am taking pictures, not to mention I'm under the weather and staying home from work today!

We're sort of close to the Lost-Old River, and the Trinity River, but they are on the other side of Cotton Lake, and Cotton Lake has no inlet to our pond? So he walked here? Am I going to have any fish left?

I can't tell you how much I love waking up to look out the kitchen window each day. I also love being able to walk out in my PJ's, cap and scarf (except for Sam laughing). PS...on my list of things to get is a camera with a lens!
