Bellagio to Milano - 13
5/26/10
Took off from Bellagio on a nice clear morning, even thought it was a bit sad to leave such solitude.
Julien did a fine job of driving us back to Bergamo. The winding road was much easier to maneuver on a weekday! Back at Bergamo we said our good-byes, and all fun aside it was a joy to travel with our UK friends (just don't believe a word that Sam & Julien say)
They took off on a Jet 2, and we took the bus to the central train station in Milano. There a taxi to our hotel near the Duomo, and the major shopping district!
Now everyone has made fun of Sam taking me to the mecca of shopping, but he really hasn't had to worry! You walk the street of Via della Spiga with these shops of Prada, D&G and Gucci. They all have 6'5" guys standing at the door, some of the windows are even tinted so you can't see who is shopping!
Later another dinner of wine, more wine and a little pasta!

For someone who always claimed not to drink too much, this girl sure could handle the Vino Bianco alright!!! Luckily I just had the odd sip of Vino Rouge just for the sake of good company off course!! It was a great trip though I never could understand why Terrie really wanted to see George Bush's villa on Lake Como...or at least I presume it was George Bush, is there any other George she could be referring to??
